2012 Figure Update

Master Star Piece: JoJo

Starting the first 2012 blog post of some up coming figures in the coming months, although they are not One Piece related. I found a few figures online that some people may be interested in adding to their collection. I will be posting up a few One Piece figures soon since I have received a few awesome Christmas gifts and some Banpresto figures as well. Banpresto One Piece Colosseum Winners

The results are in and Banpresto's One Piece Colosseum winner goes to Wiper by Saito. The winner of this tournament gets his figure made into a MSP (Master Star Piece) figure, just like they did with Ace and Luffy. I will assume that the starting prices for Wiper will be around 4000-5000 yen but after a month or so he might drop to around 2000 yen since that happened to MSP Luffy and all the other MSP characters. MSP Luffy started from 5000 yen and he dropped down to 1500 yen after two months. For those that are planning on getting MSP Wiper, I would hold on for a bit then order him on Mandarake or Otacute.

NDS: One Piece Gigant Battle 2 New World!! + MSP Luffy Limited Edition

Here is a update on the NDS: One Piece Gigant Battle 2 New World + MSP (Master Star Piece) Luffy Limited Edition. Have been playing the NDS game itself for a good week and just finished playing and I must say, being able to use all my favorite One Piece characters is pretty awesome. Compared to the first one, you can now use the entire Mugiwara crew plus a lot of extra characters. There are around 40 playable characters and at least a good 100 support characters in the game.

The package I got was the MSP Luffy Limited Game edition bundle, which included a limited color alter of the MSP Luffy figure. The difference is the vibrant colors as I wrote before in previous posts. The figure pose s basically the same, except for the coloring done on him. Personally I love the vibrant color version of this luffy, but I do like the regular MSP skin tone color done on him more that the Limited Edition. The packaging done on this box set is well put together and the overall game and the figure is fantastic. 

One Piece fans, if you can get your hands on the Gigant Battle 2 game, I would highly recommend it. You don't need to play the first one to know what happens in the second one, since the story is completely different. However, the game is only in Japanese but it's not that difficult to play through the game. It is mostly about destroying your opponent and kicking ass. Enjoy!

Master Star Piece Luffy (New World) Release

Just found out that the Master Star Piece Luffy (regular ver.) comes out today in Japan. For those that are in Japan right now, leave me a note to see if this is true! I will be posting up some gallery photo's for any that I have found online. I hope the Limited Game edition comes out soon! Can't wait for it! Here is the promo poster for MSP Luffy. Enjoy!

NDS One Piece Gigant Battle! 2 + MSP Luffy Limited Edition

Banpresto MSP Luffy + NDS One Piece Gigant Battle! 2

Nintendo and Banpresto have also finally released their NDS One Piece: Gigant Battle! 2 Limited Edition with MSP (Master Star Piece) Luffy (Game Edition). The packing is pretty sweet, very different from the other MSP boxes that they come in. On the top left corner of the MSP box, it has the label of the Gigant Battle! 2 Limited Edition logo on the box. For those that are ordering the Limited Edition, keep an eye out for those when you get yours in! There are two different types of MSP Luffy (New World/Time Skip) versions out there. One is based on the Banpresto color scheme (dark and a little bit more realistic), while the Limited Edition one is based on the Manga color scheme (brighter red top, non-gold belt, and straw hat color is lighter).

Personally I like the upper part (mainly his scar) of the regular MSP Luffy compared to the Limited Edition. I may do a mix and match and maybe buy both of them. But I may change my mind once the Limited Edition comes in and see how it looks. For those that are still looking for the pre-order of the game and the figure, the link can be found below. Enjoy!

So the MSP (Master Star Piece) Luffy has been confirmed and there is a slight difference between the regular MSP version and the limited MSP version that comes with the game. The difference between the two are the color finishes and the materials. The regular MSP Luffy has more of a Grand Line men feel to it with it's dark colors, gold belt, and darker skin tone. In comparison to the limited MSP Luffy that comes with the game, the color scheme is Anime accurate. His clothes, belt, and hat is the same color as the anime and his skin tone + scar is the same as the anime as well. Personally I like the anime related one just because I didn't like the gold belt that came with the regular version, but I do however like the skin-tone color on the regular MSP version. Over all, I like both figures and if the regular MSP version is cheap I would be getting him as well.

Banpresto decided to make another Master Star Piece: Naruto, but this time with his Sage mode. Although I just got his regular Shippuden version, I'm contemplating whether or not I should get this or just pass on it. I will decide based on the price he comes out as. If the price is cheap enough, I would consider getting him otherwise he's not too much of a character I would care about. If there was a Kyubi Chakura mode or a 4th Hokage version of this, then I would definitely buy it!

Nintendo DS: One Piece Gigant Battle 2

Some big news coming your way as Namco Bandai is releasing their new One Piece: Gigant Battle 2 coming November and there is a Limited version, which comes with a Master Star Piece: Time Skip Luffy (special edition) with the Limited edition version. Some of the pre-orders so far are already sold out. Although it's quite expensive, the figure itself is pretty well worth it. The game itself goes for around 5,230 yen and the Limited Edition with Master Star Piece Luffy is going for 7,800 yen, so I would say this is a pretty good deal for getting two fabulous items.

Banpresto Master Star Piece: Naruto

Banpresto Master Star Piece: Uzumaki Naruto

Finally my Banpresto Master Star Piece: Uzumaki Naruto has finally came in and without a doubt the details and coloring on this figure is just amazing! Got him off Otacute for around 15$ which isn't too bad considering the clean finish he has on him. Even though I don't collect a lot of Naruto figures or anything, I still like him as a character and he goes well with my Portgas D. Ace as well. Here is a small gallery of the figure itself. Enjoy!
