P.O.P DX Gecko Moria

P.O.P DX Gecko Moria
Available May 2012

It's the time again where the pre-orders for the up coming P.O.P (Portrait of Pirates) DX Gecko Moria came out tonight at 1:00 am Vancouver time, 6:00pm Japan time. I managed to pre-order Moria from AmiAmi, but since I did not order anything from their site lately because of their huge maintenance change, I was a bit worried. None the less I have managed to pre-order Moria from AmiAmi and also a while back I managed to order Doflamingo from Big in Japan. Currently I am 5/7 Shichibukai members being collected and just missing Jinbei and Crocodile. I believe I can find both of them if I went down to Tokyo, but at the moment both of them are pretty hard to find online.

I am a bit disappointed that Moria is pretty expensive, especially only coming with two additional bats and with no extra parts. I am not 100% sure of his actual height, but in relation to the manga he SHOULD be as tall as or maybe taller than Bartholomew Kuma. I hope MegaHouse gets his height accurate, otherwise I would be really disappointed in this figure. I hope those that were able to get their pre-orders, went through well. For those that were unable to pre-order him, try checking out Mandarake or Rakuten as a back up plan!! Enjoy!

D.P.C.F One Piece Vivi Alabasta

D.P.C.F (Door Painting Collection Figure) by Plex is releasing a new figure, this time they decided on making Vivi from the Alabasta series. She comes with 2 prop items: sword and wine glass, along with 2 changeable faces. She's a pretty awesome figure, well detailed and very different from all the other Vivi's that has been out on the market. The only down side of this is that she would probably be pretty expensive seeing that it is made by Plex.

For those that would want to get this, but is willing to wait, I would suggest waiting for a while until the price has gone down. The previous D.P.C.F prices have dropped a lot from 6800 yen down to 4000 yen after a couple of months from AmiAmi Online or Hobby Link Japan. Consider that when deciding if you would want to pre-order her. Enjoy.

P.O.P Sailing Again: Sanji

P.O.P Sailing Again: Sanji

It's that time again for the Pre-Order battle for P.O.P Sailing Again series with Sanji. Compared to his last P.O.P's (Neo & Strong World), the Sailing Again series gave him a few more accessories and some new changeable faces, which I think is great. Not many people seem to like Sanji, but I personally like his classy look and appeal. Here is the promo poster for him. I believe his pre-order will be sometime this week? I may be wrong but might be on a Wednesday, 6pm Japan time. If you plan on pre-ordering him I would suggest trying AmiAmi, HLJ, Otacute, or Hobby Search. The store links can be found on the right side bar of my blog. If you have any questions regarding the pre-orders or how they work, leave me a comment and I will get back to you.

Figuarts ZERO One Piece: Boa Hancock & Crocodile

Happy Halloween everyone! Even though I am a bit late since I was out these last few days. Here's a small update on some of Figuarts ZERO One Piece figures that just came out for pre-orders. We have Crocodile, which I think is the best looking Crocodile out there on the market compared to the P.O.P DX version of him. We also have Boa Hancock with Salome, similar to Banpresto's Shichibukai DX set, but with changeable arms. If I were to get either one of them, I would suggest Crocodile because of his facial expression and it comes with his poison hooks.

However, I have been pretty disappointed in Bandai's Figuarts ZERO line, because the quality that they show on the web looks completely different in person. I have read on a few forums and reviews that the quality is very horrible once they received the figure. If you do plan on ordering these figures I would say order at your own risk. Seeing that these are by Bandai, they will have more in stock once they are released.

NDS One Piece Gigant Battle! 2 + MSP Luffy Limited Edition

Banpresto MSP Luffy + NDS One Piece Gigant Battle! 2

Nintendo and Banpresto have also finally released their NDS One Piece: Gigant Battle! 2 Limited Edition with MSP (Master Star Piece) Luffy (Game Edition). The packing is pretty sweet, very different from the other MSP boxes that they come in. On the top left corner of the MSP box, it has the label of the Gigant Battle! 2 Limited Edition logo on the box. For those that are ordering the Limited Edition, keep an eye out for those when you get yours in! There are two different types of MSP Luffy (New World/Time Skip) versions out there. One is based on the Banpresto color scheme (dark and a little bit more realistic), while the Limited Edition one is based on the Manga color scheme (brighter red top, non-gold belt, and straw hat color is lighter).

Personally I like the upper part (mainly his scar) of the regular MSP Luffy compared to the Limited Edition. I may do a mix and match and maybe buy both of them. But I may change my mind once the Limited Edition comes in and see how it looks. For those that are still looking for the pre-order of the game and the figure, the link can be found below. Enjoy!

P.O.P Sailing Again - Luffy & Chopper

P.O.P Sailing Again: Monkey D. Luffy

Here are the promo posters for the new P.O.P (Portrait of Pirates) Sailing Again series with Luffy & Chopper. As mentioned before the figures pre-orders are closed and sold out. However seeing that these figures aren't that hard to get (maybe Nami), I would either wait until their release or check out Otacute since they haven't had their pre-orders in yet.

P.O.P Sailing Again: Tony Tony Chopper

P.O.P Sailing Again - Nami

P.O.P Sailing Again - Nami

MegaHouse has just released their new P.O.P (Portraits of Pirates) line Sailing Again for their Time Skip figures. For those keeping up with the pre-orders, P.O.P Nami, Luffy, and Chopper will be released sometime tonight. Keep a look out for them on AmiAmi, Otacute, HLJ, and other Online Stores. I don't have the direct links at the moment, but even if I post them up they may be already sold out. Personally I am going to skip this series and just continue collecting the Banpresto figures just because of the cost and the amount of details on the characters is already satisfying. But here is Nami's promo poster. Enjoy and keep on collecting!

D.P.C.F ONE PIECE Western Edition

D.P.C.F - Nico Robin Western ver.

Here's a small pre-order update on the D.P.C.F (Door painting collection figures) Nico Robin & Tony Tony Chopper. Finally get to see a new pose for Chopper for once, rather than his usual standing up pose like with his usual P.O.P stances. The amount of detail put into Robin is just amazing, especially like her belt and sword case details. For those Robin fans, this would be a must get!!

Nintendo DS: One Piece Gigant Battle 2

Some big news coming your way as Namco Bandai is releasing their new One Piece: Gigant Battle 2 coming November and there is a Limited version, which comes with a Master Star Piece: Time Skip Luffy (special edition) with the Limited edition version. Some of the pre-orders so far are already sold out. Although it's quite expensive, the figure itself is pretty well worth it. The game itself goes for around 5,230 yen and the Limited Edition with Master Star Piece Luffy is going for 7,800 yen, so I would say this is a pretty good deal for getting two fabulous items.

Akainu is available on AmiAmi, Otacute, Hobby Link Japan, Hobby Search, and Big in Japan as well. Also there is an reissue of the P.O.P Strong World Nico Robin for those that have missed out on her from a couple of months ago as well. I don't have the links at the moment, but I will post them up just incase. But be warned that by the time I do get the links, the figure might already have been sold out. Here is Akainu's promo poster!

Banpresto Grand Line Men?: Emporio Ivankov & Mr. 2 BonClay

Banpresto Grand Line Men (?): Mr.2 BonClay & Ivankov

Here's an interesting release by Banpresto that I have just recently ordered and is currently on it's way here. Banpresto's Grand Line Men (?) Emporio Invankov & Mr.2 BonClay is now added to the Banpresto One Piece series. Personally I love these guys, I think they're the most unique characters in the manga/anime and they seem to always pop out of no where even though they are in the most bizarre situations. Glad Banpresto decided to make a figure off these guys! More photo's will come shortly after they have arrived. I do have a bunch of Banpresto photo's I have yet to post up since I got back. I will add in a photo gallery of Gol D. Roger, Shanks, Ben Beckman, and these two once I put in some time off to the side.

I would also like to make a note on these Banpresto figures is that there are no main Online store that just sells these figures. I usually just look around either Otacute, Rakuten Canada, and sometimes HobbyLinkJapan if I am lucky I will come across the pre-orders or in-stock at Play-Asia. So for those that ask me about the pre-order links, best luck for those who find it first!

P.O.P DX Portgas D. Ace version 1.5

P.O.P DX Limited Portgas D. Ace
version 1.5 (new)

It has been a while now since my last post, I apologize for the long delay. I have been busy with catching up with work along with a short trip to Japan I made in June and also graduating University as well. Beside my personal life story, lets see some new toy updates. First off here is a surprise from MegaHouse with their updated version of the P.O.P DX Portgas D. Ace version 1.5 (new). Here are some small photo's of the improved Ace from his latest 1.5 version update. The only changes that were mainly done were on the flames and possibly the coloring. They released this version of Ace based off of the 7-11 limited edition version of it and I guess they decide to make him more available to the Ace fans out there. Non the less, he is still currently available on Otacute for $100. For those interested and have not gotten a MegaHouse P.O.P DX Ace, you will not be disappointed in this upgrade here.

P.O.P DX God Enel

P.O.P DX God Enel

So here's a short update on the next P.O.P (Portrait of Pirates) DX series coming out later tonight 6:00pm Japan time or 2:00am Vancouver time. As posted before, God Enel has finally got his own P.O.P which is pretty fantastic. He's probably one of my most favorite villain's in the One Piece series, so hopefully I will be able to grad him tonight. He's not a character that I "must have", but it would be nice to get him because of the details made on him, along with his drum accessories and his facial expression is just priceless. For those that are wanting this figure, be prepared to keep on refreshing that browser of yours tonight!

Pro-orders are on the following trust sites:

Banpresto Master Star Piece: Naruto

Banpresto Master Star Piece: Naruto

Banpresto has started making more of their new Master Star Piece collection line, which is another quality above the DX series. The Master Star Piece figures are around 25-26cm tall, which is 2x taller then the regular DX series figures (average heigh 14-16cm tall). They just release the pre-orders for Master Star Piece: Naruto on otacute and hopefully they will have a nice time skip version of Luffy to go along with it. They made a re-release of Master Star Piece of Portgas D. Ace, which has a matt finish and a flame item that goes along with it.

MegaHouse Himura Kenshin

MegaHouse has released their first G.E.M Series of Rurouni Kenshin. There are two versions of the pre-orders: Himura Kenshin (with his red outfit) & Himura Kenshin II (Battousai version). Personally I like his regular red outfit, but I also like his Battousai outfit as well. I will have to think about whether to start on this series or not, but the sculpt of this figure is absolutely fantastic.
