P.O.P Sailing Again: Chopper (Kung-Fu point)

Mega House decided to bring in another version of Chopper for his P.O.P (Portrait of Pirates) Sailing Again with Kung-Fu point edition. He doesn't have any interchangeable parts, but he can basically twist and turn from side to side. At least we get to see a new version of Chopper than his usual normal version, though I wish we were given his Horn-point version of himself. Enjoy!

P.O.P DX New World

Hey guys, here are some new updates on some up coming P.O.P DX New World characters. I apologize for the lack of updates that I've had on the blog. I will definitely try to blog more, but because most of my orders are back in Vancouver you will all see a increase in posts around December.

Here are some P.O.P (Portrait of Pirates) DX and Sailing Again characters. We have Captain Kid, Killer, Chopper (Kung-Fu Point), and Perona as well. For Kid and Killer, they don't seem to be the New World version, since we haven't seen them yet. The version you are seeing are from the Shabondy Archipelago arc for those that are wondering. Enjoy!

Banpresto Grand Line Series

Here are some update on some awesome Banpresto Grand Line series. We finally got some new updates on the Grand Line Lady line along with some up coming Grand Line Men as well as Children series as well. From Grand Line Men we have Franky and Brook; for Grand Line Lady we have Olivia and Robin; finally for Grand Line Children we have Sanji and Usopp.

For sure I am collecting the Grand Line Men and Lady, but will be passing on with the Grand Line Children series. The details on them for sure is spot on and they are in perfect scale for the P.O.P (Portrait of Pirates), but not for the Grand Line Men/Lady series. They are a great addition to your collection, but I will have to pass on these guys. Here are some photo's from the Choppermania Blog. Take a look at their site as well! Enjoy!

Figuarts ZERO Chopper

Been busy the last few weeks with work, but finally had some time to post some new updates. I finally decided to go with the Figuarts ZERO Chopper (time skip) version of him instead of the Grand Line Men version of him. Here are some reason's on why I choose him over the other.

Looking at the sculpt and coloring done on him, they are pretty much the same. The details on the hat and his ears are different, but not in a bad way. This depends if you like more of the fluffy like texture (Banpresto - similar to Law's hat) or a rough checker lined style (Figuarts). The scale between the two are very different. I felt that the Figuarts ZERO scale of Chopper is much more accurate than Banpresto's version. If you compare the two, Chopper is up to Zoro's waste for Banpresto and for Figuarts, Chopper is up to Zoro's thigh.

Seeing that the two are pretty much a like, I leaned towards the scale of the figure more than the consistency of buying the figure from the same company. Banpresto's version of Chopper is still fantastic, but for me I went with the accuracy of the scaling. I hope this reviews is of much help for those still deciding on which Chopper figure to get. Take a look at the photos and here is a sneak peak of some of the figure reviews I will be doing in the next few posts.

Figuarts Zero Chopper vs Grand Line Men Chopper

Choppers scale

I've been debating for a while now about which New World Chopper I would consider getting seeing that Banpresto's Grand Line Men Chopper is coming out. I have been comparing Banpresto's version with Bandai Figuarts ZERO chopper and in terms of the color they are pretty much even. The quality of the figure I have higher hopes for Banpresto, though I have seen a few photo's online of the Figuarts version and they look pretty decent. The only difference is their scale.

Grand Line Men - Chopper

Figuarts ZERO - Chopper

The Grand Line Men version of Chopper, his scale, I feel that he is a bit bigger and taller then what he should be where as the one from Figuarts, his scale is actually the perfect scale with the Grand Line Mens. The quality of the two are pretty close, except for his hat, the texture is a bit different. Banpresto's version of Chopper does seem a bit darker compared to the Figuarts version, but this might be because of lighting.

Figuarts ZERO - Chopper (also has a stick)

Grand Line Men - Chopper

I have been debating about this for a while and perhaps I will think about this more once the Grand Line Men has been officially released and I shall make a last decision, but tell me what you guys think! I would love to hear your opinions on this as a toy collector. Would you be true to the scale if the quality and coloring is the same with both figures or would you buy the figure from the same series to keep it's consistency? Enjoy!

Banpresto & MegaHouse Promo Posters!!

Can't wait for this month's Banpresto releases!! For Banpresto's Grand Line Men series we have Sanji, Zoro, and Chopper coming out at the end of this month; most likely around the 28th or so. Collectors, be sure to look out for them on Mandarake since I'm sure once they are on there, they will sell out really fast!

We also have some up coming figures from MegaHouse's P.O.P (Portrait of Pirates) series as well. I can't wait for my DonFlamingo and Moria to come out soon, but at the same time I am very worried since I need to save up for those two because of their shipping cost! None the less I am VERY close to finishing my collection of Shichibukai characters!

Currently thinking about buying P.O.P NEO Shanks since I love him so much and at the same time thinking about getting Ben Beckman if I so happen to get Shanks. The only thing I'm worried is MegaHouse releasing a New World version of Shanks to go with Ben Beckman, but this might not happen for a while since they just entered new world. We will see. Enjoy!

P.O.P Sailing Again - Nami

P.O.P Sailing Again - Nami

MegaHouse has just released their new P.O.P (Portraits of Pirates) line Sailing Again for their Time Skip figures. For those keeping up with the pre-orders, P.O.P Nami, Luffy, and Chopper will be released sometime tonight. Keep a look out for them on AmiAmi, Otacute, HLJ, and other Online Stores. I don't have the direct links at the moment, but even if I post them up they may be already sold out. Personally I am going to skip this series and just continue collecting the Banpresto figures just because of the cost and the amount of details on the characters is already satisfying. But here is Nami's promo poster. Enjoy and keep on collecting!

P.O.P Time Skip Nami, Luffy, Zoro, & Chopper

Here are a bunch of new P.O.P (Portrait of Pirates) One Piece characters that has been announced and will possibly coming out during the summer & fall. The following P.O.P DX are God Enel, Admiral Kizaru, and Admira Akainu, P.O.P Mild Child are Sabo, Ace, & Luffy. Finally MegaHouse has also announced their One Piece Time Skip versions and they have announced: Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Chopper at the moment. Also there is a Special Collaboration figure set with Luffy & Toriko as well, although from what I have read so far is that only 1000 of the Luffy & Toriko sets are made.
