Grand Line Men: One Piece Film Z Edition

Some of you may know that Banpresto Grand Line Men/Lady are introducing their One Piece Film Z edition figures. First we have Luffy and Usopp for Grand Line Men. For Grand Line Lady, we are getting Nami and Ain (Movie character). Though this is not part of the Grand Line series, I am loving the character designs on these and will probably plan on getting at least the Mugiwara crew for sure. Banpresto Grand Line Men: Franky

Finally seeing some photos of Franky for his Grand Line Men series by Banpresto. He is among the first of this series to have interchangeable heads. He comes with his normal short hair version and his secondary head is with his usual long funky hair style. Here are some photo. Enjoy!

Banpresto Grand Line Series

Here are some update on some awesome Banpresto Grand Line series. We finally got some new updates on the Grand Line Lady line along with some up coming Grand Line Men as well as Children series as well. From Grand Line Men we have Franky and Brook; for Grand Line Lady we have Olivia and Robin; finally for Grand Line Children we have Sanji and Usopp.

For sure I am collecting the Grand Line Men and Lady, but will be passing on with the Grand Line Children series. The details on them for sure is spot on and they are in perfect scale for the P.O.P (Portrait of Pirates), but not for the Grand Line Men/Lady series. Banpresto Grand Line Men Vol.12 - Roronoa Zoro

Here he is. The legendary man himself, Banpresto Grand Line Men Vol.12 Roronoa Zoro. He is by far, my most favorite character from the Grand Line Men series. The details on him is excellent and each accessory has a lot of detail as well. He come in seven parts: (1) Base, (1) Body, (3) Swords, (1) Right arm, and (1) his belt. I love how the sculptor carefully thought out how to put his swords and the belt together, instead of pulling them and pushing them through a tiny opening where the paint might be scratched.

The details on his clothing is done really well, similar to the Will of D. Roger figure. The sword itself has a lot of detail as well and they all fit nicely with the figure. When the belt wraps around the swords, it actually looks like they were slipped into a tiny opening, but instead they are carefully placed one by one and then wrapping the whole thing together. Again, well thought out. If you are a Zoro fan, the Banpresto Grand Line Men version of him is one to add into you collection. Here is a gallery of the figure. Enjoy!

Banpresto Grand Line Men Vol12. - Sanji

The day has come when Banpresto's Vol.12 Grand Line Men Sanji finally came. I have been waiting for both Sanji and Zoro to be released after seeing the prototypes over the internet for some time. Looking at the details, as always, Banpresto does a nice job at the painting and sculpt. Compared to the large, MegaHouse figures, Banpresto captured Sanji's emotion really well. He's clean, simple, and his facial expression is spot on. I will keep this short and let you judge for yourself on the quality of Sanji's figure. Enjoy!

Figuarts ZERO Chopper

Been busy the last few weeks with work, but finally had some time to post some new updates. I finally decided to go with the Figuarts ZERO Chopper (time skip) version of him instead of the Grand Line Men version of him. Here are some reason's on why I choose him over the other.

Looking at the sculpt and coloring done on him, they are pretty much the same. The details on the hat and his ears are different, but not in a bad way. This depends if you like more of the fluffy like texture (Banpresto - similar to Law's hat) or a rough checker lined style (Figuarts). The scale between the two are very different. I felt that the Figuarts ZERO scale of Chopper is much more accurate than Banpresto's version. If you compare the two, Chopper is up to Zoro's waste for Banpresto and for Figuarts, Chopper is up to Zoro's thigh.

Seeing that the two are pretty much a like, I leaned towards the scale of the figure more than the consistency of buying the figure from the same company. Banpresto's version of Chopper is still fantastic, but for me I went with the accuracy of the scaling. I hope this reviews is of much help for those still deciding on which Chopper figure to get. I've been debating for a while now about which New World Chopper I would consider getting seeing that Banpresto's Grand Line Men Chopper is coming out. I have been comparing Banpresto's version with Bandai Figuarts ZERO chopper and in terms of the color they are pretty much even. The quality of the figure I have higher hopes for Banpresto, though I have seen a few photo's online of the Figuarts version and they look pretty decent. The only difference is their scale.

The Grand Line Men version of Chopper, his scale, I feel that he is a bit bigger and taller then what he should be where as the one from Figuarts, his scale is actually the perfect scale with the Grand Line Mens. The quality of the two are pretty close, except for his hat, the texture is a bit different. Banpresto's version of Chopper does seem a bit darker compared to the Figuarts version, but this might be because of lighting.

I have been debating about this for a while and perhaps I will think about this more once the Grand Line Men has been officially released and I shall make a last decision, but tell me what you guys think! I would love to hear your opinions on this as a toy collector. Would you be true to the scale if the quality and coloring is the same with both figures or would you buy the figure from the same series to keep it's consistency? Enjoy!

Banpresto Grand Line Men: Marco

With my arrival of Grand Line Men Roger, I also ordered Marco as well since they both came in at a very cheap price on Mandarake. I am not much of a Marco fan, but the Grand Line Men's version of him did catch my attention when I saw some photo's being posted on forums. He has a very clean look, the coloring is vibrant, and surprisingly he has quit a bit of detail, such as the vein's popping out of his hands. 

The one thing I am disappointed in the Marco figure is that there are some painting mark errors on his left hand. Once I find some paint removal cloth, I might fix him up a bit, but this might just be on the figure that I got so this may not be the problem for when you get your Marco figure. He is at a nice height for your P.O.P DX Shiro Hige (White Beard) in scale to the manga/anime so he would be a nice addition to your collection. Enjoy!
