COOP HIMMELB(L)AU: Future Revisited Exhibition

Lately I have been having a hard time trying to update the blog because the WiFi connection at home isn't that strong. But I'm finally updating on a few that I have done over the past 4-5 days. First off I went to the COOP HIMMELB(L)AU Future Revisited exhibition at the ICC Tokyo Opera City Center in Shinjiku. The exhibition is about using the human body, mind, and sound to create a architectural space. People can interact with the piece and a part of them will add something to the existing space in the exhibition.

THE OUTLINE: The Unseen Outline of Things

Naoto Fukasawa & Tamotsu Fujii

Another exhibition is THE OUTLINE: The Unseen Outline of Things by Naoto Fukasawa & Tamotsu Fujii at the 21_21 Design Sight Tokyo Midtown Design Hub, in Roppongi. The "outline of design", something obvious yet invisible, emerges through the efforts of these two men. This exhibition, including 100 products designed by Naoto Fukasawa and some 70 photographs taken by Tamotsu Fujii over 4 years, is something never attempted before - an exhibition revealing what everyone has sought... the "outline of design" - Naoto Fukasawa.

If you're in New York between November 22nd, 2009 - April 26th, 2010 then you should go visit MoMa (The Museum of Modern Art) and go see Tim Burton's Art Exhibition. Tim Burton is one of my most favorite film directors of all time. For those who don't know who Tim Burton is (shame on you!), here is a little introduction found on Wikipedia:

Timothy William "Tim" Burton (born August 25, 1958) is an American film director, producer, writer and artist. Since directing his first feature, Pee-wee's Big Adventure, in 1985, he has gone on to direct and produce numerous films, many of which have won Academy Awards. He is famed for his dark and quirky-themed films, such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas, and for his blockbusters, including Batman, Batman Returns, Sleepy Hollow, Planet of the Apes, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He frequently works with close friend Johnny Depp, musician Danny Elfman and partner Helena Bonham Carter.
Burton's most recent film was 2007's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, which won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy. His most recent production is the Shane Acker animated sci-fi fantasy 9, a co-production with Timur Bekmambetov. His next film Alice in Wonderland is due for release March 5, 2010.
