P.O.P DX Strong World Ace

Finally got my hands on P.O.P DX Strong World Ace figure just this morning and thought I would do a quick review of him. I've been debating on getting him for quite a while now and I just so happen to find him on Mandarake for under 40$ so I thought I mine as well complete my Strong World Collection.

First impression of him out of the box: I love him!! Surprisingly he's not that bad, even though I have read a lot of comments about his face being wrong. Unlike his Marine Ford Ace, the facial sculpt is done better compared to his Strong World sculpt. But the sculpt, pose, and the accessories that comes with the figure are excellent. The details are really well made and the coloring is consistent. I love the fact that he has two fire accessories so I can display him with out the ridiculous guns, even though it's the "Strong World" theme. Ace still looks like a bad ass without giving him two huge guns, in my opinion. 

The one thing I am a bit worried about is his hat, since you need to bend the string of the hat for it to stay on him while his hat is hanging from the back of his neck. Other than that I would highly recommend those who are Ace fans, should definitely get the Strong World Ace figure and add that to their collection. Enjoy!

P.O.P Roronoa Zoro Strong World ver.

Finally decided to open my P.O.P Roronoa Zoro Strong World edition. Had him in his box for quite some time now and decided to open him up and take some photo's of him. I still have the Strong World Chopper still in his box and probably will open him up in the next few weeks. For now, here's a short photo set of Zoro. He comes with the following in the box: 4 swords, 2 changeable heads, Strong World Gun, 1 extra arm, base plate, and the actual figure itself.

Wonder Festival 2011 One Piece Reveals

Been searching on some websites on the Wonder Festival 2011 and found some new up coming releases for the P.O.P (Portraits of Pirates) line for One Piece. Here are two new reveals that will be coming out in 2011: The Dark King - Silver Rayleigh, Ace - Strong World ver. (finalized) & Boa Hancock wedding edition. There may be a chance that a wedding version of Luffy will come out to match with Boa Hancock later in the future. But here are some photos and links to various Wonder Festival blogs.

Sorry about the delay in having these posts up! The last few days I have been waiting for the pre-orders for the P.O.P Shanks Strong World edition., which has been pretty crazy on all the online figure sites. Some site such as AmiAmi, HLJ, Otacute, etc has had some server issues to the point where they had to shut down the site for some time. Lucky I got my Strong World Shanks pre-ordered, so that's a relief. Here are some promo photo's of P.O.P DX Perona and Shanks Strong World edition. As of now, both Shanks and Persona are sold out EVERYWHERE, so if you so happen to see them up for pre-orders, I would suggest grabbing them asap!

2011 POP Updates!!

So despite the long update, I've been pretty busy these last few weeks with both work and going out with the few interns. Went down to Mt.Rushmore for a nice break, but that post will come later. As for some new updates on the up coming POP's, I will just let these images do the talking and hopefully a better refined image will come out soon. I am gonna say personally, I am glad the Law is getting his own POP but the only thing I don't like about him is his smile compared to the Banpresto version of the Grandline version. I don't think they will fix that seeing on how finished he kinda looks but you never know.

So I've been a bit busy with trying to get my Working VISA passed and dealing with all the paper work. Now it's just the waiting game. On the bright side my P.O.P Franky Strong World edition has finally came in and might I say, he looks SUUUUUUUUPA fantastic! I love his huge guns/canon's that comes with him. Also the small accessories like his coke bottles and two extra sunglasses is awesome. But for now here are just some photo's of the figure itself. They have finally came! My long waited Strong World Sanji and Brook figures. Just like how the images looked online Brook is now probably my most favored Strong World P.O.P at the moment from the whole series. I am going to assume that since Brook has many different posses and facial expressions, this may be one of the reason's why Sanji is a static character.

Sadly the Sanji that came in has a little scratch on the right neck collar. For those that are ordering Sanji Strong World series, take a good look at his neck collar! So making this blog short, here are some photos. Enjoy!

So it's only been like a good 2 days? and my Strong World Usopp's head just snapped. I tried changing the head piece and with a little pull the joint snapped. I was a little disappointed that 1) it was on a ball joint and 2) the hole opening on the head piece is literally impossible to exchange. There for some crazy glue and sand paper came to the rescue. I'm using 150 Fine Surface remover to manually sand the hole in the head. Also reinforced the ball/neck joint with some more crazy glue. At least it was the ball/neck piece snapped and not the actual figure itself. Gave myself a heart attack when this snapped.

P.O.P One Piece Strong World Nico Robin and Strong World Usopp has finally arrived from AmiAmi! Both of them look fantastic, especially Nico Robin. She comes with 2 different heads, where one is with her hair down and the other with her hair in a pony tail. She also has a removable coat along with her gun and glasses for extra accessories. Usoppu on the other hand has the most accessories in the P.O.P Strong World series out of anyone. He comes with an additional head, shield, gun, side bag, helmet, and his huge sling shot.
