Happy Columbus Day!

Happy Columbus day everyone! So it's been a week and a half since I've been here in Boulder. So far the weathers been good, but I can feel that winter is just around the corner. The night is getting darker earlier then usual and the morning is getting colder as well. As for today, I woke up and made some Alfredo Pasta while watch GLEE (suggested by an awesome Chemistry nerd, I'm just kidding!).

Went around Boulder to take some panorama's while I'm here. But I noticed that it's hard taking some nice scenery shots because of all the small buildings and malls all around the place. Hopefully I can take some nice photo's before the snow comes down. I also bought the new YO GABBA GABBA limited Dunny from Urban Outfitter yesterday when visiting Denver with some friends. I hope everyone's having a nice long weekend! Enjoy the weather while it's nice and sunny!

Updated Figure/Vinyl Display

Finally made my last batch of the stair case display shelfs and they are looking pretty fantastic! Also as a side note, my birthday just passed and I am now officially 23-years old. Getting old here, but despite that I will be still collecting toys! But here's just a very short update. I will post the Illustrator file (CS5) and EPS file for those that want to make their own stair case display shelfs.

Recently with work ending and all I had some time to make some stuff with the laser printer at the school. Since I now have a large collection of Dunny's I decided to make a staircase display shelf for them, just so that I can see the one's in the far back. I must say, staircase display shelves DO make a huge difference. See the difference for yourselves. For those who collect Figures, this will be a nice change to how you arrange your figures around your room.

So it comes to an end that Voltageland is finally closing down. It has been 6 years that Voltageland has been opened and has hosted many wonderful vinyl toys in Vancouver. Akiyama Mio Figma + KidRobot

Akiyama Mio (Figma) + HardGay (Stereotype Series 4)

My Akiyama Mio by Figma finally came in the mail today and I must say I am pretty satisfied with the quality of the figure. I also picked up two new Dunny's from VoltageLand: Painkiller (L.A series) by Thomas Han & Thunder Dog Tested (Series 3) by Tristan Eaton. On top of that I found a pretty sweet HardGay like figure from the Stereotype Series 4.

A short review of the Akiyama Mio Figma: she's very similar to the Yui Figma but with longer hair. The front bangs of the Mio Figma has soft pvc while the back has a medium hardness feel to it. The only downside I am having with long haired Figma characters is that I find them difficult to pose without the stand. Without the stand their hair weight pulls them back which makes them wall, compared to the short haired Figma characters (Yui, Haruhi, & Nagato). But overall quality of the figure itself and the details plus facial expression are pretty sweet. Now that I have 4/5 of my Figma character I shall be making my short stop-motion some time this week.
