Also I will be leaving in 4 hours as we speak! So here's my last update of my room before leaving. Keep in touch and hopefully I can blog about the things I do during my internship! Cheers!

2010 Powell Street Festival

Hope everyone had a fun weekend with the 2010 Celebration of Lights and the Annual Powell Street Festival. Saturday's performer was China for the 2010 Celebration of Lights and as usual they are fantastic. Though this year winner is Spain, but everyone did equally well. Also I attended the annual Powell Street Japanese Festival, which I bumped into a few friends along the way. But here are just some photo's that I took during the weekend. Enjoy <3

Light Pollution

Night Photography

So after a long day at the beach yesterday I decided to go out and do some night photography. Even since I bought my tripod I never had the chance to use it other then making some stop motion animation (which I should be working on as a side project). So went out to the creek near Tera Nova in Richmond and tried taking some photo's of stars. Here is the result and enjoy. If you know any places with clear skies and no light during the night, let me know and I will try to take more photos.

Happy 141st Birthday Canada!

Happy 141st Birthday Canada!

It's a little bit late but yesterday was Canada's 141st Birthday! On this occasion Vancouver was hosted a fireworks event on the Downtown West-Side near Canada Place. Just like during the 2010 Olympics, the streets were full of lively locals and people from out of town. During the fireworks I meet a guy named Russell, an engineer, and his wife Jessie, which lived in Asia for the past couple of years and has recently has moved back to Vancouver. I love having these random conversations and meeting new people during these big events. This is what makes Vancouver unique, where you can just talk to people without any hesitation. Here are just some photo's during the fireworks from Canada Place.

Dunny 2010 Series

Dunny 2010 Series

Nothing new lately other then waiting for work to start in June and catching up with some old friends. Other then that the new Dunny 2010 Series is about to come out soon and the line up is pretty sick! Here's a check list image from the SpankyStokes Blog for the up coming 2010 series. I can't wait for that Sket One Ketchup Dunny along with the Travis Cain's Balloon Dunny. With the ratio's that are being posted right now, although I'm not sure if this is the official ratio, it's looking pretty good. Although with another Frank Kozik chase, it's bound to be another mechanical robot. I hope there will be photo's online to see what that looks like!

Besides the new 2010 Dunny Series coming out, this month my P.O.P Usoppu and Nico Robin should be coming out soon. Also I am still debating whether or not I should get the mini Wobbline Pirate Ships Collection by MegaHouse. It would be nice since I'm getting the P.O.P crew set and with the mini boat beside them it would be pretty neat. But going to think about it for a while.

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there! I hope you have a awesome day. The days are passing by really fast now and my lil sis is also leaving for Shanghai this week. She'll be visiting the Expo 2010 while she's there, which is something I'm really jealous of!

Figma ゲッダン

Other then that I've had a chance to play around with some stop motion this week. Made a test demo to see the timing of the animation and what I can work around with. Overall it's not too bad other then the quality of the clip, but I'm sure I can fix that up with After Effects and Final Cut. For now here's a short demo clip I put together by request from a few people. Enjoy.

Good Bye Old Friends

Sunset before Dinner

So I haven't been keeping up with the web comics lately, but been busy going out and spending some time with a few friends since they're done their exams. Two of my friends just left, where one is not coming back forever. It's hard to say good bye to old friend but then again I'm sure we'll meet somewhere at some point. Went to A Kettle of Fish restaurant, which was pretty good place for a dinner. Expensive but pretty good.

Snowboard Season is BACK!!

Mt. Cypress Night Boarding

Went to Mt. Cypress today with a few friends to go snowboarding. Just when I thought snowboard season was done, it snowed!! and 42 cm of delicious new fresh snow. Sadly this would have been awesome if it was during the 2010 Olympics, but then again I wouldn't be able to go boarding this year. Tried out the new Salmon Riot 2009 board and I am very pleased. Very light compared to what I had before but still not use to it while turning. I still need to practice on toe-edging and carving as well. Hopefully during these few days I can practice on those... otherwise I'll be posting up some complaint's about my pain. On the side note, grace sent me a youtube by a group called Jayesslee (two twin singers Janice and Sonia), which I think their voices are pretty fantastic. Take a moment to listen to their voices.
