Banpresto Grand Line Men: Roger

I finally got my Banpresto Grand Line Men Roger in the mail, so here is a short review on him. The coloring and details done on Roger is fantastic as always, coming from Banpresto's standards. I love the details on his clothes and the pose is his typical cross armed look. Nothing really different from all the other Roger figures out there, but the Grand Line Men version of him will match up very nicely with my Will of D. Roger.

I wished Banpresto did another pose for Roger other than his typical cross armed look, but none the less, he is still a pretty good figure to add into your collection. Compared to other Rogers out in the market, the Grand Line Men version of him is not as muscular compared to his Ichiban Kuji or Will of D. version of him. If you put them side by side, the Grand Line Men version makes him look a little wimpy. Though he should be fine with his cape on. Here are some photo's I took of Roger. Enjoy!

Ichiban Kuji vs. Grand Line Men Roger Comparison

Here is just a small comparison of the two Gol D. Roger figures that are coming out very shortly. First we have Ichiban Kuji's version of Gol D. Roger that was being shown at the JUMP Festival. This version of Roger has a vibrant color finish to him compared to the Grand Line Men version. The sculpt pose is similar to the Grand Line Men version, but with some differences in some parts. He is a lot more muscular in the Ichiban Kuji version, especially his upper body, which is what I would picture the King of Pirates would look like.

Compared to the Grand Line Men version of Roger, the colors are a lot darker. This is to keep its consistency with the other Grand Line Men figures of this line. His body sculpt is less bulky compared to the Ichiban Kuji series, but it does make him look a little "scrawny" compared to the other. His facial express is different as well in terms of their smile and their eyes.

Personally, I am leaning towards the Ichiban Kuji version of Gol D. Roger, but I would also want to have the consistency of the Grand Line Men series just because I have a bunch of them already. However, I am not 100% sure of the height difference of the Ichiban Kuji version of Roger. I am hoping that he will be as tall as a MSP (Master Star Piece) so that I can put him beside Ace. I wll update you guys on that once I find out more information on him. This is what I have for now, come back again and see if there are any updates regarding these figures.

Also if you want me to go through some reviews or make some comparisons of certain figures, I will gladly make a post on that topic. Just leave me a comment on that and I will get back to you guys on it. Enjoy.

Jump Festival 2012 Ichiban Kuji Update

Here are some more Ichiban Kuji updates I found on some blogs and forums you guys might be interested in. First we have two, A Prize ichiban kuji's of Gol D. Roger and White Beard (Roger's Era edition), both of which they look pretty awesome. For those that are wanting to get Banpresto's Grand Line Men version of Roger, I would think again before buying that. The Ichiban Kuji version basically have the same pose, the only difference is the details, the height of the figures and vibrant colors on the two. If you're looking for more of a lighter vibrant color of Roger and perhaps a little taller then the Grand Line Men series, I would choose the ichiban kuji version. However, if you prefer to get a darker colored version of him and would like to keep the consistency of your other Grand Line Men figures, then I would choose the Grand Line Men version. I am torn between the two right now, but depending on the price, I might be going for Grand Line Men series, but if the prices are not too different and the height is similar to a MSP figure then I might go for the Ichiban Kuji. Wanting to let Roger stand beside my MSP Ace if the height of the figure are very similar. Here are some photo's of the other figures from the festival. Enjoy.

Banpresto One Piece Fair

Here are some photo's taken by DengekiOnline at the Banpresto Convention in Tokyo. They have a few new releases and a few new updates on the coming Grand Line Men/Children series. No information on the Grand Line Ladies at the moment, but hoping within the next few day we will see some. At the moment here are some of the following Grand Line Men: Marco, Gol D. Roger, Roronoa Zoro (New World/Time Skip), and Sanji (New World/Time Skip). As for Grand Line Children, Lucchi is set to be released probably for Vol.3 since Vol 2 would be Ace & Boa Hancock.

Banpresto Will of D: Gol D. Roger

Banpresto Will of D series: Gol D. Roger

Here is Banpresto's Will of D series, similar to the Grand Line Men series. This was the only reason I bought this one was because it was the only one with Gol D. Roger in his handcuffs, which had the best color and details on the figure compared to all of the other Gol D. Roger figures. Although Banpresto has released another version of Gol D. Roger without his cuffs. Here is a small gallery of the Will of D - Gol D. Roger. Enjoy!

Banpresto DX Marines

Banpresto DX Marines

Recently got my Banpresto DX Marine's and Will of D (Gol D. Roger) in the mail today and thought I would post some photo's of them. I will have a short review of each individual figure in the up coming posts, but here's a small gallery of them for those interested in seeing what they look like.

Banpresto: Will of D - Roger

Banpresto DX Marine: Akainu

Banpresto DX Marine: Kizaru + Sengoku

Banpresto DX Marine: Sengoku + Aokiji

I am slowly transitioning from collecting P.O.P (Portrait of Pirates) by MegaHouse to Banpresto DX/Master Star Piece collection, just because of their cost and the quality they have. I will be still collecting the P.O.P's depending if there are characters I am really interested in. Currently waiting for Silver Rayleigh, Donflamingo, Moria (maybe), Jinbei (considering), and Bartholomew Kuma (currently on pre-order).
